Collaborations
- 2010 to date: Collaboration with Unity of Nephrology and Dialysis of Bassini Hospital (Cinisello Balsamo, MI) in prospective clinical studies. Research interests: dyslipidaemia, inflammation and cardiovascular risk in the context of Chronic Kidney Disease. Other interests are to nutritional status during dialysis.
- 2012 to date: Collaboration in general population-based clinical studies (The PLIC Study) at the Center for the Study of Atherosclerosis – Bassini Hospital (Cinisello Balsamo, MI). Clinical research focusing on:
-association of circulating and genetic markers with the prognosis of cardiovascular disease;
-postprandial phase studies;
-analysis of risk factors for progression of markers of subclinical atherosclerosis.
Management of databases (University Center of Epidemiology and Preventive Pharmacology (Università degli Studi di Milano). Study of genotypic and phenotypic traits of dyslipidaemias, with special focus to Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH).
-2013 to date: Collaboration with Center for hepatology and metabolic diseases – Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico IRCCS, Università degli studi di Milano. Interest of research: detection of markers of hepatic steatosis and correlation with cardio-metabolic and atherosclerosis markers in the general population.
- 2016 to date: Collaboration with Istituto di Tecnologie Biomediche – Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche and Institute of Genetic and Biomedical Research (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche), Humanitas Clinical and Research Center for project involving the study of the associative and causal role of microbiome alterations and cardiovascular disease in humans.
- 2017 to date: Collaboration as young scientist in the REPROGRAM project (Horizon H2020-PHC-2015-two-stage) involving the evaluation of epigenetic mechanisms and reprogramming of innate immune cells in atherosclerosis management and other chronic inflammatory diseases.
