Major achievements
- intracellular pathways involved in the control of vascular functions:  ( intracellular calcium, nitric oxide production, adhesion molecule expression, secretion and activities, protein kinase activities ( in particular those involved in cell proliferation,  protein synthesis, and   angiogenesis), transcription factor (NF-kB, Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors:PPARs) activation.
- isolation  and culture of  vascular and blood cells: platelet, neutrophils, endothelium and smooth muscle cells.
- Isolation, culture and characterization of circulating endothelial precursors.
- Diagnosis and  therapy of Familial Hypercholesterolemia
